Our teen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are designed for students aged 14–16 who want to train BJJ in a structured, age-appropriate environment. Teens build strong technical foundations, confidence, and discipline while training safely with partners of similar size and experience. New students can begin with a free trial class.

What Are Our Teen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Classes?

Teen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are structured grappling sessions focused on technical development, control, and safe live training. Sessions include positional work, submissions, escapes, and supervised sparring adapted to teenage athletes.

Classes are coach-led and follow a progressive curriculum that supports long-term development, discipline, and confidence while maintaining a safe and controlled training environment.

Teen classes are specifically designed to bridge the gap between Kids and Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Training focuses on:

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Belt Progression for Teens

Teen Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu follows a transitional grading structure aligned with IBJJF standards.

Teenagers aged 14–15 generally continue under the Kids IBJJF belt system. As students approach 16 years old and demonstrate technical proficiency, consistency, and maturity, they may transition into the Adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu belt system, where Blue belt eligibility begins.

Promotions are awarded through instructor evaluation in a structured and supportive training environment.
