Marcelinho began his journey in martial arts during childhood and never looked back. His dedication to training across multiple disciplines has shaped him into a versatile coach and competitor.
He represents the strong combat sports tradition of his hometown—known for producing world-renowned fighters like Wanderlei Silva, Anderson Silva, and Shogun Rua.

In Brazil, Muay Thai follows a belt grading system, and Marcelinho has risen through the ranks, demonstrating both skill and discipline. His years of experience in BJJ, striking, and mixed martial arts have given him a complete understanding of the fight game.

Now based in Kuala Lumpur, he brings his energy, technical knowledge, and love for martial arts to Monarchy MMA—committed to helping students improve, push their limits, and evolve both on and off the mats.
