Wrestling
Our adult wrestling classes in Kuala Lumpur, Bangsar, Mont Kiara and Kota Damansara, develop takedowns, clinch control, and grappling fundamentals for MMA and No-Gi training in a structured environment.
What Are Our Wrestling Classes?
Our wrestling classes are structured training sessions designed for adults who want to learn, practice, and progress safely in stand-up grappling and takedown-based martial arts. Training focuses on balance, control, takedowns, clinch work, and positional dominance under instructor supervision.
Classes are delivered in group formats with a clear structure, making them suitable for complete beginners as well as more experienced athletes. Instruction follows a progressive training system, ensuring students build strong fundamentals before advancing to more complex techniques and live situations.
Wrestling training is ideal for adults looking to develop effective grappling skills, improve physical conditioning, or support MMA and No-Gi training.
Adult Wrestling Classes (All Levels)
These wrestling classes are open to adults of all experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. Training takes place in structured group classes led by experienced wrestling coaches, with an emphasis on technical development, balance, and controlled application.
Adults with prior grappling or combat sports experience may integrate directly into regular wrestling classes. Beginners with no previous experience are introduced gradually, focusing on safe movement, positioning, and core wrestling principles before progressing to live drilling and situational sparring.
Training intensity and technical depth are adapted to individual experience, fitness level, and goals.
Wrestling Classes for Beginners
No prior wrestling experience is required.
Beginners are introduced to wrestling through a progressive training approach that emphasizes:
-
Movement, posture, and balance
-
Safe execution of takedowns and entries
-
Clinch control and grip fighting
-
Confidence in close-contact grappling situations
Beginners train alongside more experienced students while following structured progressions designed to ensure safety, confidence, and steady improvement.
If you prefer a slower-paced and fully guided introduction, you may begin with our Grappling Initiation class.
Freestyle vs Greco-Roman Wrestling
Freestyle Wrestling
Freestyle wrestling allows attacks using both the upper and lower body. Athletes can shoot for the legs, use trips, and apply control to secure takedowns and pins. Scoring includes takedowns, reversals, exposure, penalties, and out-of-bounds actions.
Freestyle wrestling emphasizes speed, balance disruption, and dynamic offensive and defensive movement.
Greco-Roman Wrestling
Greco-Roman wrestling restricts attacks to above the waist, placing emphasis on upper-body control, clinch work, and explosive throws. Matches are contested over timed rounds and can be won by points, pin, or technical superiority.
Greco-Roman wrestling is known for its raw power, technical throws, and strategic control in close-range grappling.

About Wrestling
Wrestling is one of the world’s oldest competitive sports, with a history spanning thousands of years. It has evolved into multiple styles, including Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, which are practiced worldwide at amateur, professional, and Olympic levels.
Today, wrestling is widely used as a foundation for modern combat sports due to its emphasis on control, takedowns, and positional dominance.
Wrestling Coaches & Instruction
Our wrestling classes are taught by experienced instructors William Hill and William Silva, both of whom bring competitive and coaching backgrounds in Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
Coaching focuses on technical fundamentals, correct mechanics, safety, and long-term skill development rather than short-term intensity or conditioning alone.
