What Are Our Muay Thai Classes?

Muay Thai, also known as Thai boxing, is a complete striking martial art using punches, kicks, elbows, and knees. Our Muay Thai classes focus on proper technique, conditioning, partner drills, and controlled sparring.

Classes are group-based, coach-led, and designed for adults who want real martial arts training rather than fitness-only workouts.

Muay Thai Training for Adults (All Levels)

These Muay Thai classes are open to adults of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

Students with prior training integrate directly into our regular group classes, while newcomers with no experience typically start with our Striking Initiation class, designed specifically for day-one beginners.

From there, training progresses into our regular Muay Thai classes, where intensity and technical depth are adapted to each student’s level and goals.

Muay Thai & Kickboxing Classes (Trained in Tandem)

Our Muay Thai and Kickboxing classes are offered in tandem and follow a complementary training structure. Many students choose to train both disciplines, as they share striking fundamentals while developing different skills and ranges.

This approach allows students to build strong stand-up foundations while progressing at their own pace.

Women-Friendly Muay Thai Classes

Our Muay Thai classes are open to both men and women, with a respectful and welcoming training environment. Many women train regularly in our adult Muay Thai program, whether for fitness, confidence, or martial arts development.

Coaching emphasizes safety, technique, and gradual progression.

Authentic Thai Boxing, Not Cardio Kickboxing

These are authentic Muay Thai classes focused on real technique and progression, not cardio kickboxing or choreographed fitness workouts.

Training includes pad work, drills, clinch fundamentals, conditioning, and optional sparring under coach supervision.

The History & Authenticity of Muay Thai

Muay Thai originated centuries ago in Thailand as a battlefield combat system and later evolved into a national sport and modern martial art.

Over time, Muay Thai influenced and shaped many striking styles such as kickboxing, K-1, and Dutch kickboxing, while maintaining its unique use of elbows, knees, clinching, and scoring system.

Today, authentic Muay Thai is practiced worldwide, both as a competitive sport and as a foundation for MMA and self-defense training.

Muay Thai Ranking & Progression System (Krang System)

Structured Muay Thai Progression

Most martial arts use ranking systems to measure progression. Traditional Muay Thai does not always follow a formal ranking structure, but to provide clarity and motivation, we follow the Brazilian Muay Thai Krang ranking system.

The Krang Ranking System

Our Muay Thai program follows a 9-step Krang system, from White Krang (Beginner) to Black Krang (Master).

This system is widely used in Brazilian Muay Thai gyms and has been followed by world-class fighters such as Anderson Silva, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, and Charles Oliveira.

Adult vs Kids Progression

Ranking progression differs slightly between adults and kids.
For kids, progression focuses more on age-appropriate development and consistency.

Muay Thai Gym & Training Environment

Training takes place in a fully equipped martial arts gym designed for Muay Thai and striking disciplines. Sessions are coach-led, structured, and focused on long-term development rather than short-term intensity.

Classes are led by our Black Krang instructors such as Kru Manoel Fonseca, Kru Marcelo Junior, Kru William Silva, Coach William Hill & Coach Lucas Tan, who focus on technical development, safety, and progression for adult students.
