Coach William Hill is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt under Master Asu, with a lifelong background in combat sports.

Originally from the United States, William grew up in the MMA world—his father was both a coach and competitor, and that environment shaped his path from an early age.
He began training as a child and won his first NAGA Championship at just 12 years old. In high school, he competed in wrestling and transitioned into coaching soon after graduation. William also earned an amateur MMA title while working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, developing a well-rounded understanding of athletic performance.
Eager to refine his skills further, William spent two years living and training at the academy of his father’s coach, where he sharpened both his technique and teaching approach. His competitive highlights include podium finishes at ADCC Chicago Open (Bronze), NAGA (Gold), Grappling Industries (Gold), and New Breed (Gold).
Now part of the Monarchy MMA team, William brings passion, structure, and a wealth of experience to every class. His goal is to help students improve both on and off the mats through high-level grappling instruction and athletic development.
